Partnerships Supports Local Park Groups

Did you know that there are thousands of active community groups working year-round to care for their neighborhood parks? Partnerships for Parks works to strengthen and network these local park groups, whose goals and activities are as diverse as our City. Many community groups coordinate monthly volunteer projects, plan free events and celebrations, or advocate for resources and support to help their parks thrive!

YOU can become part of this growing network, and Partnerships for Parks can help you get started! Find the Outreach or Catalyst Coordinator working in your neighborhood who can help you:

• Join a Park Group in Your Neighborhood
  Are you an individual that would like to get more involved with your local park? There may already be an active community group that needs your help!
• Create a Group to Support Your Park
  Do you, your friends, and neighbors have a vision for your local park? Is your park lacking the support of a dedicated group of volunteers? Why not form your own group? Partnerships can help you get started!
• Connect Your Organization to Parks and Resources
  Are you part of a park, civic, nonprofit, or religious group that wants to support local parks and expand your efforts? Partnerships can help your group coordinate ongoing volunteer activities, network with other local park groups, and access resources to help strengthen your community group.
