Outreach Publications

Our Art Director can work with you to create professional-quality outreach publications to promote your group and your park. These brochures feature information about your group and park with full-color photographs and contact information for getting involved.

We also provide support for programming and seasonal events through calendars and promotional postcards or posters.

We can provide small grants through the Capacity Fund to cover publication costs and work with you to produce your publication, from developing a concept to creating a distribution plan.

We have created a wide variety of publications in collaboration with our parks groups designed to suit their various needs. Check out a sampling of our recent publication projects.

Brochures

Our Art Director works closely with each group to design brochures that reflect the character of the park and the group to best meet their goals for the publication. The brochures usually include photographs of the park, descriptions of the park’ s history, and park features, as well as ongoing activities. In some cases, they may include a map.

Brochures are an effective way for a parks group to promote their efforts within the community and beyond. Additionally, brochures may include reply cards and envelopes to enlist new members and financial contributions. Our Outreach Coordinators and Technical Assistance team also provides support and tips for brochure distribution. Click here to see samples.

Event Calendars and Postcards

For groups seeking additional publicity for their busy programming season, we produce event calendars and postcards groups can use to organize and promote activities. Like our individual park brochures, these marketing tools include helpful numbers, historical text, photos, and maps.

Do you think your group could use a publication? For more information, please contact Art Director Anne LaFond at (212) 788-8077 or Anne.LaFond@parks.nyc.gov.
